Matt Maurer

Matt Maurer is a Managing Partner at Apex Ventures, based in San Francisco, California. Previously, he served as Vice President of Product at Salesforce, where he successfully led a 150-person engineering team and managed a software portfolio generating over $200 million in annual recurring revenue. Maurer initially began his technology career as an early product manager at Google, directly contributing to the global launch of enterprise cloud solutions before transitioning into venture capital. Over the past decade, he has directed seed-stage investments into more than 40 technology startups, working closely with prominent accelerators like Y Combinator and Techstars to identify emerging platforms. In addition to his investment responsibilities, he serves on the board of directors for three private software firms. His current focus centers on providing strategic capital and operational guidance to early-stage artificial intelligence enterprises.
