Matt Lane

Matt Lane is the Deputy Head of Underwriting for Direct Investments at Monroe Capital LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois. Since joining the firm in 2011, he has managed the underwriting of middle-market loan transactions and supported account management operations. Prior to this role, Lane served as a Credit Officer at PNC Bank and held Vice President positions at both Freeport Financial LLP and Merrill Lynch Capital, where he specialized in healthcare finance. His earlier career includes positions as a Group Finance Officer at Heller Financial Inc. and a Senior Auditor Officer at ABN AMRO, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of industry experience, Lane maintains a primary focus on middle-market lending and direct investments within the healthcare sector.
