Matt Hayes

Matt Hayes is a General Partner at the early-stage venture capital firm PJC, based in New York, New York. He joined the firm as a Principal in 2015 before his promotion to General Partner in 2021, and he has been actively involved in investments across companies such as BlockFi, Eden Health, and Thunkable. Prior to his venture capital career, he was a founding team member at the commerce platform Teespring, where he managed seller growth, strategic partnerships, and corporate initiatives. During his tenure, Teespring secured backing from prominent investors including Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, and Khosla Ventures. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. Hayes currently focuses his investment strategy on early-stage consumer and enterprise technology startups.
