Matt Hardy is a co-founder of Roundtable, an active fraud prevention technology startup currently based in San Francisco, USA. At Roundtable, which participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2023 batch, he directs the technical development of a Proof of Human API designed specifically for bot detection and human verification. Prior to his current entrepreneurial venture, he was a doctoral student at Princeton University, where he conducted extensive research in computational social science within Tom Griffiths' computational laboratory. Before his doctoral studies, he majored in statistics and economics at the University of Toronto, and his academic research in decision-making and behavioral experiments has accumulated 640 academic citations to date. Hardy's current professional focus centers on applying his academic background in machine learning, data science, and econometrics to develop behavioral metrics for invisible fraud prevention systems.
