Matt Greenwood

Matt Greenwood is the Chief Innovation Officer and Head of Investment Management Engineering at Two Sigma, and an Advisor at Two Sigma Ventures. During a tenure exceeding 20 years, he advanced from data engineering to executive leadership, helping scale the quantitative finance firm to over 2,000 employees. Before joining Two Sigma, he worked at Bell Labs and IBM Research on early distributed computing technologies, and served as a lead developer at Entrisphere. His academic background includes a bachelor's and master's degree in mathematics from Oxford University, a master's in theoretical physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a doctorate in mathematics from Columbia University. He previously operated as a Venture Partner, serving as a board member for multiple portfolio companies. Greenwood currently focuses on guiding engineering strategy, developing artificial intelligence platforms, and advising early-stage technology startups.
