Matt Gorin

Matt Gorin is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Contour Venture Partners, a pioneering seed-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Since establishing the fund in 2005, he has focused his investments on early-stage companies operating within the financial services, enterprise software, and B2B vertical SaaS sectors. Over his 26-year career, Gorin has backed numerous technology startups, including Datadog and Pendo, the latter of which reached a $2.6 billion valuation in July 2021. Before Contour, he served on the launch team for Promontory Interfinancial Network, a platform acquired by Blackstone for approximately $2.5 billion in 2019, and held strategic roles at Red Hat and Morgan Stanley. Recognized on the Seed 100 list, he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, earned a BA from Brandeis University, and founded the nonprofit StreetWise Partners.
