Matt Gibbons

Matt Gibbons is the Managing Director of Private Equity at Manhattan West, based in Los Angeles, California. Since founding the firm's private equity division in 2019, he has overseen investments across the media, entertainment, business services, and consumer sectors. Previously, Gibbons managed private equity investments at Saban Capital Group, where he facilitated the $500 million sale of Saban Brands to Hasbro and oversaw the firm's stake in Univision Communications. Earlier in his career, he structured corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and financings as an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey and earned a degree in Economics from Harvard University. He currently serves on the board of directors for The F1 Exhibition, Round Room Live, and Vino Vault. His professional background centers on driving operational improvements and strategic enhancements for portfolio companies in the entertainment and consumer spaces.
