Matt Castellini

Matt Castellini is a Senior Associate at Lakeshore Ventures, a regional fund within Alumni Ventures Group, based in Chicago. Before joining the firm in 2021, he spent four years working in financial services as a sell-side research analyst at Bank of America. He subsequently transitioned into the venture capital industry as an investor at Manifold Group, evaluating early-stage technology startups. Castellini holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in June 2022. In addition to his primary investment roles, he founded a podcast dedicated to exploring the broader Chicago venture capital ecosystem. His current investment focus centers on analyzing the commercial viability of early-stage technology companies operating across enterprise software, digital marketplaces, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications.
