Matt Bilotti

Matt Bilotti is the Managing Partner at Uncommon Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City, New York. Before transitioning to venture capital, he studied computer science at Stanford University and worked as a software engineer at Google, followed by various product development roles at technology startups. At Uncommon Ventures, he focuses on enterprise software, developer tools, and AI infrastructure, building a portfolio that includes unicorn startup Retool and contract management platform Ironclad. Bilotti recently expanded his investment footprint by leading a $50 million Series B funding round for the AI coding platform Cursor in March 2026 and joining the board of directors at Hex Technologies in November 2025.
