Mats Terwiesch

Mats Terwiesch is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of HYBRD, a fitness technology company based in Boston, Massachusetts. The startup, which participated in the Y Combinator Fall 2024 batch, released its iOS application in May 2025 to serve a user base that includes Olympic medalists and Navy SEALs. Previously, Terwiesch worked as an early employee and product manager at WHOOP, where he launched the platform's Strength Trainer feature and managed international free trial expansions. He also led product management for the fitness vertical at Appex and served as a research associate at Harvard University, publishing academic work on the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. A former member of the United States national rowing team and a 50-mile ultramarathon finisher, Terwiesch currently focuses on integrating sports science with product development for hybrid athlete training.
