MATHEW MATAKOVIC

Mathew Matakovic is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Digipals, an artificial intelligence-native social operating system based in San Francisco, California. He established the three-person startup in 2025 alongside co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Peggy Wang to develop AI agents specifically designed to facilitate group chats and real-world coordination. The company recently participated in the Y Combinator Fall 2025 accelerator batch, operating under the direct mentorship of partner Garry Tan. Prior to launching Digipals, Matakovic operated as an independent solo game developer and created the multiplayer browser game deadshot.io. Under his sole technical leadership, the gaming platform scaled significantly to reach a global audience of more than two million monthly active users. His current focus centers on leveraging this extensive consumer gaming experience to build scalable, AI-driven social technology platforms for modern users.
