Matevž Petek

Matevž Petek is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Povio, a software development agency based in San Francisco, California. As a graduate of the Y Combinator Winter 2014 cohort, he has scaled the firm to include a team of over 250 professionals who provide software design, development, and project management services. Under his leadership, Povio has completed more than 1,000 successful projects for over 400 enterprise and startup customers, including more than 60 fellow Y Combinator founders. Prior to his career in the technology sector, Petek was a professional athlete who competed internationally and earned the title of Snowboard Vice World Champion in 2005 while representing Smučarska zveza Slovenije. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Geodesy, Petek currently focuses on delivering comprehensive digital product development and DevOps solutions for scaling enterprise businesses.
