Mateus Jarros

Mateus Jarros is the Corporate Venture Capital Manager and Head of Gerdau Next Ventures, as well as the CEO of Ubiratã. In his capacity at Gerdau, a major Brazilian steel and metals corporation, he directs corporate venture capital initiatives and startup acceleration programs targeting the industrial value chain. He recently managed open innovation challenges in partnership with Distrito, launching initiatives in August 2022 to source logistics and supply chain technologies for dumpster management and distribution intelligence. Additionally, Jarros leads Ubiratã, a strategic joint venture established between Gerdau Next and SpaceTime Labs. This entity focuses on integrating artificial intelligence platforms, robotic systems, and digital twin technology to monitor mineral supply quality across the company's operations. His current focus centers on driving digital transformation and open innovation within the metals and logistics sectors through strategic investments.
