Mate Pencz

Mate Pencz currently serves as a General Partner at Canary Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to his current investment role, he co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Loft, a Latin American real estate technology company that raised hundreds of millions in institutional capital and achieved a valuation exceeding two billion dollars. Before launching Loft, he co-founded Printi, a Brazilian online printing platform acquired by Cimpress, and initially began his professional career as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. Pencz completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, earning a degree that preceded his extensive entrepreneurial track record across Latin American markets. Today, his focus centers on supplying initial funding to early-stage technology startups and actively co-building new enterprises from the ground up alongside emerging founders.
