Masashi Kiyomine

Masashi Kiyomine is the Managing Partner at Kicker Ventures, an early-stage healthcare investment firm based in Menlo Park, United States. Before founding the firm in 2021, he spent 13 years at Mitsui Global Investment as an Investment Director and Head of Global Life Sciences Venture Investment, leading deals across North America, Europe, and Asia. Throughout his 20-year venture capital career, he has held board or observer roles at several prominent healthcare companies, including ChangeHealthcare, Cardiovascular Systems Inc., and goBalto. Alongside his investment work, he holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Engineering and Asian Studies from Dartmouth College and serves as a Specially Appointed Professor at Tohoku University. Kiyomine currently focuses on deploying initial checks ranging from $100,000 to $1 million into pre-seed and early-stage startups developing science and technology-driven solutions to address global healthcare inefficiencies.
