Masahiro Sameshima

Masahiro Sameshima is a General Partner at ANRI, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Tokyo, Japan. Before joining the firm, he earned a master's degree in astronomy and held professional roles at Mitsubishi Corporation and UTEC. In his current capacity, he guides pre-seed through Series B investments for a portfolio that encompasses over 200 companies and has generated more than a dozen exits. Sameshima specifically manages the ANRI GREEN FUND, a climate technology vehicle with over 10 billion yen in capital and a 15-year investment horizon. His recent investment activity includes backing seed-stage startups like Quino Energy, as well as participating in a 1.7 billion JPY Series B2 funding round for quantum computing firm QunaSys. His primary investment focus centers on deep technology, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing ventures across the Japanese technology market.
