Mary Jane Elmore is a pioneering venture capitalist, private angel investor, and advisor at Institutional Venture Partners based in Palo Alto, California. She began her career as a marketing manager at Intel Corporation, contributing to the Operation Crush team that successfully established Intel's microprocessor market leadership. After earning a mathematics degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Stanford University, she joined IVP to become one of the first female venture capital partners on the West Coast. Elmore served as a General Partner across eight distinct IVP funds, held board director roles for numerous public and private information technology companies, and currently invests through Sand Hill Angels. Her current focus spans angel investments in software, communications, and social media, alongside advisory roles for the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Stanford Center on Longevity.
