Marvin Tien

Marvin Tien is a Co-founder and General Partner at Corner Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. Prior to establishing Corner Venture Partners LLC in late 2018 alongside partner John Cadeddu, he previously founded Corner Capital Group to facilitate strategic technology investments. Over his extensive career in the venture capital industry, Tien has collectively backed more than 200 startup companies across various emerging technology sectors. His investment portfolio features several highly recognizable consumer and enterprise technology brands, including successful early-stage capital allocations in Eventbrite, WeWork, Wix, and Grubhub. Under his leadership, the firm continues to execute significant capital deployments, recently directing a $50 million fourth-round startup investment in June 2025. Tien currently focuses on leveraging his decades of institutional investing expertise to finance and scale early-stage technology enterprises operating in global markets.
