Martin Tweedie

Martin Tweedie is a materials scientist turned entrepreneur who currently serves as the founder of Quell, a startup focused on interactive gaming and fitness innovations. Prior to launching this consumer technology venture, he spent a full decade at the University of Oxford, where he completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies in the field of materials science. During his ten-year academic tenure at the institution, Tweedie specialized in the applied research and development of novel sensor technologies. His technical work primarily centered on engineering advanced physical sensors utilizing graphene alongside various other two-dimensional materials. He has since transitioned away from pure academic research, choosing instead to apply his specialized hardware background to the commercial sector.
