Martin Tschopp

Martin Tschopp is the Chief Executive Officer of Prosus Ventures, a global corporate venture capital firm formerly known as Naspers Ventures. Appointed in November 2020 after serving four years as Chief Operating Officer, he oversees a portfolio of over 100 companies with $1.4 billion in total investments. Under his leadership, the firm executed 17 investments over a recent twelve-month period, including a $10 million seed round for cybersecurity startup Plerion and a $60 million Series B for healthcare AI company Corti. Previously, Tschopp served as the Chief Executive Officer of the microfinance platform Kiva.org and spent eight years at eBay, where his roles included General Manager of German operations. His current investment focus centers on technology startups addressing significant societal needs through localized solutions in sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and consumer behavior.
