Martin Münchbach

Martin Münchbach is a Managing Partner at Pureos Bioventures based in Basel, Switzerland. Before co-founding the firm, he served as a senior investment advisor in private equity at Bellevue Asset Management and has been an active life sciences venture capital investor since 1999. At Pureos, he helps manage a USD 205 million fund that has backed 11 private biotechnology companies, including ImCheck Therapeutics, which was acquired by Ipsen for up to 1 billion euros. Münchbach currently holds board director positions at several healthcare organizations, including Ypsomed Holding, Alentis Therapeutics, and Ariceum Therapeutics. He earned a PhD in protein chemistry and a Master of Advanced Studies in Management, Technology, and Economics from ETH Zurich. His current investment focus centers on seed and Series A stage companies developing innovative biological drugs for oncology, immunology, and rare diseases.
