Martin Johnsen is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Subsets, an artificial intelligence retention platform based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to launching the startup, he spent two years in management consulting helping large enterprise organizations scale their artificial intelligence initiatives across various business functions. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Modeling from the Technical University of Denmark. Under his leadership, Subsets participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2023 batch and subsequently raised over $6 million in funding from investors including Peakon founder Phillip Chambers. The company utilizes gradient-boosting and explainable AI frameworks to automate churn reduction for major subscription media clients such as The Atlantic and the Daily Mail. Johnsen currently focuses on expanding these lifecycle growth models beyond digital publishers into new sectors like mobility, retail banking, and food delivery.
