Martin Fiennes

Martin Fiennes is an Advisor to the Deep Tech team at Oxford Science Enterprises and a Non-Executive Director at Snowfox Discovery, based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. He previously served as a founding Principal at Oxford Science Enterprises from 2015 until his retirement from active investing in 2024, overseeing capital deployment from the firm's £860 million fund. Prior to this, Fiennes spent nearly two decades in early stage technology investing, holding roles at Top Technology Ventures between 1997 and 2006, followed by a tenure at Gatehouse Capital. Alongside his venture capital career, he manages a historic family estate at Broughton Castle, overseeing 1,000 acres of farmland and accommodating over 10,000 annual visitors. His current focus remains on providing strategic guidance to early stage deep tech and science companies emerging from the University of Oxford.
