Martin Duursma is a Partner at Main Sequence Ventures based in Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia. Before joining the Australian venture capital firm in 2017, he spent nearly two decades as a senior executive at Citrix. During his tenure there, he founded Citrix Labs and conducted due diligence on more than 60 corporate transactions valued at $2.5 billion. He currently serves on the boards of several deep tech startups, including Advanced Navigation, Myriota, and Gilmour Space Technologies, while holding advisory positions at Macquarie University and the Computer History Museum. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Datapac Australasia and earned dual degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney. Duursma focuses his current investment strategy on commercializing complex deep tech innovations, specifically targeting the emerging commercial space industry and global decarbonization challenges.
