Martin Babinec

Martin Babinec is the Founder and Managing Director of UpVentures Capital, based in Little Falls, New York. He previously founded TriNet Group, a Silicon Valley human resources firm that he scaled to over $1 billion in revenue, 2,000 employees, and 16,000 clients before it became a publicly traded company. After retiring from the TriNet board of directors in June 2022, he expanded his leadership of regional economic initiatives as the Founder and Chairman of Upstate Venture Connect, Unite NY, and Entrepreneurs Across Borders. Earlier in his career, he managed human resources operations for Navy Exchanges across the United States, Japan, and Italy. He holds academic degrees in business administration from Shippensburg University and Herkimer County Community College. His current focus centers on venture capital investing and developing community-driven entrepreneurship ecosystems to support early-stage technology founders.
