Martin Aares

Martin Aares is the Managing Partner and Co-Head of Decarbonization Private Equity at Power Sustainable, based in New York, New York. In this capacity, he oversees a $280 million fund targeting investments ranging from $100,000 to $5 million, with a typical target allocation of $1.5 million per transaction. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for the private equity platform at Closed Loop Partners, where he co-headed the firm's Closed Loop Leadership Fund. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Novus Energy Partners in 2007, spending nine years at the clean energy growth equity firm, and was also a co-founder and partner at Traverse Venture Partners. His extensive investment background spans private equity, venture capital, and project finance, with a primary focus on advancing climate technology, the circular economy, and sustainable infrastructure.
