Markus Solibieda

Markus Solibieda is the Chief Investment Officer at Dussur, an industrial investment partnership between the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Aramco, and SABIC, based in Saudi Arabia. Before assuming this role in November 2023, he spent seven years as the Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital, where he directed global investments in new materials, biotechnology, and software. His earlier career includes serving as a Partner at Mandarin Capital Partners, co-founding the healthcare-focused growth fund Baigo Capital, and holding positions at Advent International and Deutsche Bank. Since beginning his investment career in 1995, he has executed transactions across more than 20 companies spanning early-stage venture capital, growth equity, succession planning, and corporate restructuring. Solibieda currently focuses on deploying large-scale private equity capital to develop Saudi Arabia's specialty chemical and metal sectors while driving broader industrial innovation.
