Markus Moor

Markus Moor is a Senior Partner leading the Sector Specialists team at Emerald Technology Ventures in Zurich, Switzerland. He brings over two decades of operational and investment experience in industrial innovation, currently holding board positions at four active portfolio companies including Enocean GmbH, Powerhouse Dynamics, and SecurityMatters. His investment track record features multiple successful exits to major industrial players, such as the sale of Pemeas to BASF and Cellex Power to Plug Power. Prior to joining Emerald in 2001, he designed manufacturing processes across Europe and Asia at Miteco AG, a process equipment startup later acquired by Tetra Pak, and earned an MS from the University of St. Gallen. As an investor, Moor currently focuses on financing early-stage technologies across the sustainable energy, industrial cybersecurity, smart building efficiency, and advanced water management sectors.
