Mark Spoto

Mark Spoto is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Razor's Edge Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Reston, Virginia. Before establishing the firm, he served as a Partner at Cooley LLP, specializing in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings. Earlier, he worked as an aerospace engineer on the Titan IV rocket at McDonnell Douglas Space Systems after earning degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University Law Center. With over 30 years of operational and legal experience, he directs investments across seed to growth stages, recently participating in a $70 million funding round for X-Bow Launch Systems. He holds board positions at several portfolio companies, serving as Chairman of HawkEye 360 and as a director for 908 Devices. Spoto focuses his current investment strategy on national security, space technologies, and dual-use defense applications.
