Mark Hughes

Mark Hughes is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solidroad, a human resources technology startup currently participating in the W25 cohort. Previously, he founded and served as the chief executive of Gradguide, an education technology and career mentorship platform for recent graduates. During his tenure at Gradguide, Hughes successfully raised €2 million in venture capital and scaled the organization to 20 employees before finalizing an acquisition exit in late 2022. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he directed Sales, Support, and Customer Success operations for the EMEA region at the subscription billing software company Chargify, now operating as Maxio. He began his technology career as an early sales representative at Intercom and previously studied business at Trinity College Dublin. Hughes maintains a professional focus on building and scaling software-as-a-service ventures across the human resources and education sectors.
