Mark Grovic

Mark Grovic is a veteran impact investor and the cofounder and General Partner at New Markets Venture Partners. Since establishing the firm in 2003, he has directed more than thirty investments across the education technology and workforce development sectors. Prior to his current position, Grovic served as a Portfolio Manager at both SEAF and Calvert Group, and he cofounded the Templeton Emerging Europe Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University, and he spent over eighteen years as an award-winning professor of private equity at the University of Maryland RH Smith School of Business. Applying his thirty years of professional experience, he maintains advisory roles with prominent organizations like the Lumina Foundation and focuses on impact investing strategies that bridge financial returns with social outcomes through alternative learning pathways.
