Mark Datta

Mark Datta is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tab, a travel and financial technology startup based in London, United Kingdom. Prior to establishing this venture, which participated in the Winter 2015 batch of Y Combinator, he developed his expertise in e-commerce and financial technology through product management roles at Ocado and Funding Circle. His earlier professional background includes working in corporate strategy and private equity, holding analytical and investment positions at The Boston Consulting Group and Candover. To complement his corporate experience, Datta earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Today, his primary operational focus centers on bridging the finance and travel industries by building direct booking platforms that streamline travel planning. Through Tab, he aims to reduce reliance on traditional intermediaries while providing essential payment infrastructure to support local tourism operators.
