Mark Crawford

Mark Crawford is the Managing Director at Caterpillar Ventures, based on the US East Coast, where he leads investments in mining technology and manages limited partner commitments. Before joining Caterpillar in 2022, he served as Managing Director at Stanley Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Stanley Black and Decker, deploying over $100 million across direct investments and 12 venture capital funds. His prior experience includes serving as a Director at Intel Capital, focusing on software and new technologies, and acting as CEO of Invest Nebraska. Over a 20-year career in venture capital and private equity, Crawford has managed $5.4 billion in assets under management, achieved six venture exits, and earned degrees from Tufts University and American University. His current focus remains on executing strategic corporate venture investments and fund commitments within the industrial technology and software sectors.
