Mario Martinez II

Mario Martinez II is the Managing Director of MRTNZ Ventures, an investment firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. Before transitioning to venture capital, he served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 360 Vantage, which was acquired by IMS Health in 2013. Through MRTNZ Ventures, he leads investment strategy across public and private markets, targeting pre-seed and seed-stage startups in the enterprise application and automotive technology sectors. His portfolio includes participation in a $12 million Series A funding round for Sweater in February 2022, alongside early-stage investments in BAYiQ and Picmonic. Martinez has held prominent leadership roles within the regional ecosystem, serving as Chairman of both StartupAZ and Invest Southwest, where he chaired the 2017 Venture Madness competition. He remains focused on scaling early-stage technology companies and strengthening the broader Arizona startup community.
