Marin Iliev

Marin Iliev is the Managing Partner at LAUNCHub Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Sofia, Sofia Province, Bulgaria. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded Payhawk, a financial technology enterprise that achieved a valuation exceeding $1 billion and acquired a United States-based competitor in July 2023. In his current capacity, Iliev manages a broader €50 million fund, oversees a portfolio of more than 50 companies, and recently directed the closing of LAUNCHub's €40 million Fund III in March 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria and frequently collaborates with regional entities like Eleven Ventures and BrightCap. His ongoing focus centers on funding pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups specializing in software as a service, artificial intelligence, and developer tools across the Southeast European ecosystem.
