Marilyn Waite

Marilyn Waite is a global investor at Aera VC, where she focuses on sustainability and climate solutions. Previously, she led the energy practice at Village Capital and served as a senior research fellow at Project Drawdown, modeling energy solutions to address climate change. Her earlier career includes innovation management roles at energy companies Orano and Framatome, as well as teaching sustainable business and ESG strategies at Sciences Po in Paris and the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. Waite serves on multiple boards and investment committees, including Climate First Bank, and authored the book Sustainability at Work, alongside publishing articles in the Financial Times and the Boston Globe. Her professional focus centers on bridging the gap between global climate solutions and capital markets to help organizations integrate sustainable finance into their core strategies.
