Maria Wagner

Maria Wagner is a Partner at Beringea, where she co-manages the venture capital firm's UK equity investment team and handles fund management and deal execution. Before joining the firm in 2015, she served as the UK Managing Director of Birchbox and held corporate roles at Virgin Group, McKinsey, and Goldman Sachs in New York and London. Promoted to Partner in 2022, Wagner helps oversee approximately $800 million in assets across Beringea's United States and United Kingdom funds. She currently holds seven board seats, directing governance and strategy for portfolio companies including Dealroom, Learnerbly, AccessPay, My 1st Years, and Arctic Shores. Additionally, she leads the ESG_VC initiative and established Europe's first Mums in VC network to advocate for gender diversity within the venture ecosystem. Her current investment focus spans generalist opportunities across the e-commerce, software-as-a-service, and consumer-facing sectors.
