Maria Sirenko

Maria Sirenko is a Senior UI/UX Designer at Global TekMed Holdings and a Cancer Research Institute-funded scientist. She holds a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from Cornell University. In her scientific career, Sirenko investigates blood cancers and autoinflammatory diseases, having led the largest study to date on the genomic landscape of VEXAS-MDS by analyzing somatic mutations in genes such as UBA1, TET2, and DNMT3A. Concurrently, she has spent over five years working in medtech product design, recently conducting evaluative testing with over 85 participants to achieve a 30 percent reduction in bounce rates. Her current focus combines rigorous genomic research in oncology with user-centric digital design for medical technologies.
