Maria Juesas Portole

Maria Juesas Portoles is currently a Venture Partner at Vsquared and an active angel investor operating her own micro venture capital firm. Previously, she led the venture capital and co-investment strategy at Pragma and served as a Principal at Promus Ventures, a US-based firm focusing on deep technology. She began her venture capital career at Banco Sabadell Corporate Venture Capital, concentrating on the financial technology and insurance technology sectors. Before this, she worked in hedge funds specializing in global macro emerging markets and energy infrastructure across New York, London, and Madrid. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina and a joint Master of Business Administration from Imperial College and CUHK. With over twelve years of experience in alternative investments, her current focus remains on advising and funding early-stage technology companies.
