Margarida Garcia is the VP of Operations at poolside, an artificial intelligence startup pursuing AGI for software development, currently based in Madrid, Spain. Before joining poolside in 2023, she guided capital strategy at Beacon and helped secure a $3 million seed round at Lifebit, where she successfully expanded the team from four to 18 employees within six months. Garcia combines her operational expertise with five years of experience as a software developer and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance from IE Business School. Outside of her corporate roles, she is an active angel investor with Alma Angels and provides dedicated mentorship to early-stage founders navigating the broader European technology ecosystem. Her current focus centers on scaling cross-functional teams, raising venture capital, and building data-enabled engineering platforms for emerging B2B and biotechnology startups.
