Marcus Clover

Marcus Clover is the Co-founder and Partner at Energy Revolution Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on deep tech startups in the energy transition. He holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and began his career as an early employee developing hydrogen-powered drones and heavy-duty vehicle fuel cells. Prior to his current venture capital role, he served as a Director at Prosemino, an electrochemistry-focused venture builder in the United Kingdom. In December 2024, his firm successfully closed an $18 million inaugural fund targeting seed and Series A investments across nine distinct portfolio companies. Clover has directed capital into startups such as Green Li-ion, Oort Energy, and Anthro Energy alongside a technical team featuring seven PhDs. His current investment focus centers on scaling electrochemical innovations, including grid-scale energy storage, battery recycling, and carbon capture technologies.
