Marco Valta

Marco Valta is a Partner at Ambridge Capital based in Berlin, Germany, where he leads seed and Series A investments across Europe and North America. Before joining the firm in January 2023, he served as a Principal at Point Nine Capital from 2018 to 2022, focusing on SaaS and marketplace startups, and previously held roles at Cherry Ventures. Throughout his venture capital career, Valta has led or co-led more than 20 investments, including acquiring a partial stake in the unicorn human resources platform Personio. He recently directed an investment in an emerging artificial intelligence startup in March 2025, and he holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from TU Berlin. Valta leverages his foundational experience as a software engineer to evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in developer tools, climate technology, artificial intelligence, and B2B software.
