Marco Montes

Marco Montes is a technology entrepreneur and investor who currently serves as a Venture Partner at rali_cap, an emerging market fintech fund. In addition to his investment activities, he founded the financial technology company Saldo in January 2014 and has operated as the Lead Engineer at the smart contract platform Sidentity since January 2016. Previously, Montes worked as a Technology Specialist and project manager at Yourbanice SAPI de CV starting in July 2012, following a one-year tenure as the Head of Mobile Payments Adoption at the telecommunications corporation América Móvil. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and completed additional academic studies at INSA Lyon between 2005 and 2006.
