Marcello De Bernardi

Marcello De Bernardi is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bloop, an artificial intelligence startup based in London. He established the company in 2021 to develop a semantic code search engine that assists engineers in navigating large codebases. Under his leadership, Bloop participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2021 batch and subsequently secured $3.2 million in seed funding from prominent investors, including Khosla Ventures and LocalGlobe. Before launching his current venture, De Bernardi gained experience in software development and machine learning, focusing on building scalable technical infrastructure for complex systems. He holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Oxford, which provided the foundational technical expertise necessary to build advanced developer tools. De Bernardi currently focuses on expanding Bloop's enterprise capabilities and advancing the integration of large language models into everyday programming workflows.
