Marcell Veszpremi

Marcell Veszpremi is the Co-Founder and Technical Leader of Splash Inc., an autonomous maritime vessel developer based in El Segundo, California. Founded in 2024, the seven-employee startup is part of Y Combinator's W25 cohort and focuses on manufacturing autonomous patrol boats for national security and coastal defense applications. Prior to launching Splash, Veszpremi engineered embedded software and battery management systems for enterprise security alarms at Verkada. During his academic career, he contributed to Artemis, the humanoid robot developed by UCLA's RoMeLa that won the RoboCup 2024 championship, and conducted published research on point-of-care medical devices at the Ozcan Research Lab. With over six years of industry experience and a magna cum laude degree in electrical engineering, his current focus centers on integrating advanced robotics and embedded systems into robust hardware for challenging ocean deployments.
