Marcel Bens

Marcel Bens is the CEO of ECP Growth, a venture and growth equity firm backed by the Tengelmann Group, and concurrently serves as the CEO of portfolio company NextFoods. Since joining the firm in 2011, he has directed early-stage consumer investments across North America, leveraging over 20 years of operational and strategic experience spanning five continents. His investment portfolio includes recognizable consumer and technology brands such as Uber, Wish, Renewal Mill, and Milk + Honey. Before transitioning to private equity and venture capital, Bens began his career in operational roles at Daimler AG across the United States, Germany, and South Africa. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Bens currently focuses on identifying and scaling category-agnostic consumer brands that directly engage the end consumer.
