Marc Simoncini is a Partner at Daphni, a venture capital firm based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. Before transitioning to venture capital, he founded the online dating platform Meetic in 2001, scaling the business to over 20 million users and more than €150 million in peak annual revenue. The École Centrale Paris engineering graduate led the company through its 2005 initial public offering before its eventual acquisition by Match Group for over €300 million in 2009. At Daphni, which manages more than €300 million in assets, he helped launch a €250 million third fund in 2023 and maintains a personal portfolio of over twenty investments. His recent activity includes leading a 2024 investment in the climate technology startup Flowcarbon.
