Marc Rougier is a Managing Partner at Elaia Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Paris, France. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded four technology startups, including Scoop.it and Meiosys, the latter of which was acquired by IBM in 2005. Earlier in his career, he worked in engineering and management roles at Thales, gaining technical expertise across European, Asian, and North American markets. In 2024, he helped facilitate a strategic partnership between Elaia and Lazard to launch Lazard Elaia Capital, expanding the firm's capacity to fund technology companies across multiple growth stages. He currently oversees investments in B2B software and deep tech, managing portfolio assets that include Cyrebro, Traefik Labs, and Giskard. Rougier leverages his engineering background and entrepreneurial experience to scale early-stage startups focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
