Marc Laurent

Marc Laurent is the CEO and Co-founder of Carbonfact, a climate technology enterprise located in Paris, France. Prior to his transition into entrepreneurship in 2020, he established his career in the European venture capital sector as an investment professional at Alven Capital. At the age of 25, he co-founded the investment firm Kerala Ventures, where he deployed €11 million in capital across 16 seed startups. Under his leadership, this early investment portfolio achieved a 17x cash-on-cash multiple and a 3.5x realized return. Additionally, Laurent directed more than 100 strategic executive recruitments for select portfolio companies, including Doctolib at a $4 billion valuation and Malt at a $500 million valuation. He subsequently launched Carbonfact in 2021 to automate carbon reporting for consumer brands, shifting his primary professional focus entirely toward scalable sustainability and climate technology solutions.
