Marc Bhargava

Marc Bhargava is a Managing Director at General Catalyst in San Francisco, where he leads the firm's Creation strategy, global seed initiatives, and early-stage investments across the cryptocurrency and financial technology sectors. Before joining the venture capital firm, he co-founded the digital asset brokerage Tagomi, which was acquired by Coinbase in 2020 and subsequently rebranded as Coinbase Prime. His earlier career includes operational and investment analysis roles at Airbnb, Castanea Partners, and McKinsey, alongside earning a BA in 2008 and an MBA in 2016 from Harvard University. As an active angel investor, Bhargava has backed numerous high-growth technology startups, including Ramp, Harvey AI, and Bridge, which was recently acquired by Stripe. His current focus centers on incubating artificial intelligence and fintech platforms, driving venture buyouts, and supporting early-stage founders with distribution and fundraising strategies.
